Kent County Council - ISE Project & Events

Kent County Council have asked us to share details of their Innovate Sector Exchange (ISE) project.

The ISE project can provide support to Kent businesses helping them to innovate and internationalise through partnering and collaborating with new contacts in France, Belgium & the Netherlands. ISE will help companies to apply innovation techniques, to develop new ways of working and to adapt their products and business processes to help with international market entry.

The project will support companies from the following industry sectors:

Agri-Food, Digital & Creative, New Materials and Mechatronics (manufacturing & engineering).

ISE is a 3 year programme which will organise workshops, 1-2-1 support for companies and a range of events with our partners in Belgium, France & the Netherlands. The project is now organising a series of sector-focused taster sessions as follows:

8 February, A focus on France, Calais town hall – all day FREE event

This is an event for businesses which are interested in doing business in France. It will be afantastic opportunity to find out more about adapting products, services and business processesfor the French market and to meet with French businesses from Pas de Calais. The event includes a networking lunch. Travel will be via car-sharing and Eurotunnel crossings will be organised for participants. The spaces are limited so we urge businesses to register on the ISE website as soon as possible

9 February, Maidstone TV Studios, 5 pm

Kent-based companies in the Digital & Creative sector are invited to a FREE evening event at Maidstone Studios’ American Diner .This is an opportunity not to be missed as companies will be able to consider how to go about selling services into European markets, find out about the legal aspects of doing business abroad as well as hear from businesses which have successfully entered international markets.

Further ISE events will follow in March, April and May and these will be dedicated to companies that fit within the other ISE sectors (new materials, mechatronics and other innovation).
